The Opportunity

Are you a modern, proactive Sales Director within a manufacturing environment?  We are partnering with an agile rapid growth business based in Lancashire.The group has doubled in size in the past 3 years (currently circa £25m turnover) and expect to be £50m+ in the next 3 years.


You’ll join the talented exec leadership team and have a seat at the boardroom table from day 1.You are number 1 in sales – managing the full function (a current team of 8 across internal / external sales and marketing).
This is a career changing and potentially life changing role for the right person – there is significant immediate earning potential and a genuine appetite for you to take equity stake in the group (presenting an exciting wealth creation opportunity).
The group are a leader in the manufacture of temperature controlled vehicles in the UK and key high profile customers include the top 6 supermarkets.
You need to be a Sales Director / Leader with a proven ability to instil a robust and commercially-sensible sales strategy.  You’ll be someone who understands the need for clear strategy and excellent tactical decision making.You’ll be able to manage one of customers and large corporate clients and have a clear awareness of how to target each customer set appropriately and effectively.


There is major scope to add value and it will be an exciting, rewarding and highly lucrative journey for the right person.You are joining a highly talented, commercially aware and experienced leadership team – a forward-thinking, aspirational and high calibre board. Required:

  • Experience as Sales Director within a manufacturing group (potentially large capital equipment for example).
  • Ability to design and embed a well-thought-through and effective sales strategy.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and mentor teams – ability to bring out the best in others and create a culture of absolute excellence. 
  • Ability to create cohesion between the sales and marketing function and the wider business.
  • Confidence in your ability to open new doors and manage large blue chip corporate clients.
  • A hands on approach to leading, driving sales and enhancing performance within a highly ambitious agile SME.
  • Ability to operate at board level and appetite to become an equity Director.
